Pilot whales surprise researchers working on board an animal research boat. A pod of up to 15 pilot whales joined the International Fund for Animal Welfare boat off the coast of southern Spain for more than an hour, allowing researchers to get underwater footage of the animals interracting. They even managed to collect some whale scat to help them identify what the animals are eating
